How to store your REEF Inflatable Mat for the Off Season

Bummer, lake season is coming to a close. Depending on where you are located, it may be time to wrap up your REEF inflatable mat usage for a few months (maybe six). In order to best preserve your mat for years of use, we recommend a few tips for seasonal storage.

Tip 1: While inflated, clean your mat using our MISSION vinyl cleaner to remove dirt and debris or with a product like Softscrub with bleach to remove more serious marks. If you decide to use something else, be sure to test a small area first.

Tip 2: Fully dry your REEF inflatable mat before deflating. This step helps keep mold and mildew off of the mat while it is stored for the season.

Tip 3: Be sure to deflate and properly fold your mat before storing it in the MISSION bag provided.

Tip 4: Store the mat in a dry location away from sharp objects and rodents. Mice tend to be very curious about this fun water mat, so keep it sealed or covered when not in use. Some people say that tossing a dryer sheet nearby can help keep them away. We also recommend avoiding extreme temperatures during storage.

Tip 5: Go ahead and start daydreaming about the fun you'll have on the mat next year. Let the count down to lake season begin.
